Northern Ireland based company Flanagan Flooring Ltd. partner with Rycoweb for their new website.

Established in 1980 the business has grown to become a leading wholesaler covering the Northern Irish, Irish, Scottish and North of England markets.

While the company has a comprehensive residential product portfolio, it also provides a strong focus on commercial flooring and offers a selection of contract rated safety floor, carpet tiles and contract accessories.

The company’s head office is located in a state of the art premises in Saintfield, County Down, Northern Ireland.  Strategically located, it is close to both Belfast and the M1 allowing daily deliveries to its customers based both in the North and South of Ireland.

Our Scottish facility is positioned in the east of Glasgow just off the M8, placing us at the heart of the country.  At all times our customers are welcome to visit either of our premises where they can spend time to view our entire product portfolio and point of sale materials.

Each location also has a well stocked trade counter allowing installers to collect the tools and accessories needed for their jobs on a daily basis.

Road Services Northern Ireland

Rycoweb and Road Services Northern Ireland created a password protected automated on-line questionnaire, which will store all gathered information in the required format .

Full statistics have been provided  with the website so Road Services Northern Ireland can measure the success of the on-line questionnaire.

This is the first website in Northern Ireland that Road Services have used for such a scheme. If the scheme is successful it may be used throughout Northern Ireland to help residents/businesses.

BELFAST RESIDENTS' PARKING
Residents and businesses in some areas of Belfast have Road Services about their parking problems in residential areas. As a result, Roads Service carried out preliminary consultations in several areas and now proposes to introduce Controlled Parking Zones in 5 areas in the first phase of the Residents' Parking Scheme

THE QUESTIONNAIRE
It is the intention of Roads Service to only introduce a scheme that has the support of a significant majority of residents/businesses in each area. It is therefore important that you complete the questionnaire and return it to us. 

Roads Service was established on 1 April 1996 as an Executive Agency within the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. Following Devolution on 2 December 1999, the Agency moved to the new Department for Regional Development. Our Framework Document sets out our relationship with the Department and explains our accountability to Ministers. We operate within the context of the Department's overall Vision, Strategic Aims and Objectives.

Within the resources available, the Road Services Northern Irelands' objectives are to:

•  maintain the road infrastructure to keep it safe, effective and reliable;
• improve the Strategic Road Network;
• manage the road network to promote its safe and efficient operation;
• deliver quality services for our customers and stakeholders in a fair and equitable way;
• operate to resource limits and deliver value for money;
• support and motivate all our people to achieve the Agency's objectives; and
• manage the agreed outcome of the Review of Public Administration (RPA) and its impacts on the future delivery of roads services

PHILIPS TO ACQUIRE NORTHERN IRELAND BASED TOMCAT SYSTEMS

The following information was released by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA):

Royal Philips Electronics has announced it will acquire TOMCAT Systems Ltd., a Northern Ireland based company that offers a software solution to collect and aggregate data relative to the cardiac care of patients, and allows for a comprehensive, patient-centric presentation of this data to caregivers, such as doctors and nurses.

Through this acquisition, Philips will expand the use of information technology in healthcare and specifically in its cardiology business to improve patient outcomes and help hospitals work more efficiently. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2008, upon which TOMCAT will become part of the Healthcare Informatics business group within the Philips Healthcare sector.

Oran Muduroglu, general manager of the Healthcare Informatics business group within Philips Healthcare, said, TOMCAT' solution is a great match with our current cardiology information systems, and as such already implemented as a total solution in various hospitals. Philips will now accelerate introduction of this integrated cardiology information solution in North America and in other selected markets.

TOMCAT' software addresses both the clinical and operational needs of a cardiovascular service line. It connects with different clinical information systems like cath lab workflow management systems, and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS). TOMCAT is able to seamlessly connect to Philipsa Xcelera and Philips Xper Information Management, and also with systems from other vendors. TOMCAT' software also provides scheduling, staff and resource management, cost capturing, and the generation of reports and statistical information, thereby supporting the management of a cardiovascular service line.
